Now more than halfway through its season, Texas baseball has battled rainy weather throughout, from Stanford, California, to Sunday’s downpour in Waco, Texas. Battling physical conditions has become commonplace at times for the Longhorns.
One started at the front of the pack, only a couple of shots off the lead. The other barely made the final round of the tournament, winning a coveted spot in an 11-person playoff to finalize the top 30.
What lifted Texas Softball over Texas Tech on Friday was no longer in the Longhorns’ favor in Saturday’s game two. Late-game scoring was what proved to be the difference in Friday’s victory over the Red Raiders.
