Student reports assault on Guadalupe Street

According to a campus-wide safety alert, Austin Police responded at 9:00 p.m to a student who reported an aggravated assault on Guadalupe Street.

The student said he was threatened by a transient, who pushed him and stabbed him in the forearm. The student has nonlife-threatening injuries.

The suspect was arrested by APD within five minutes of receiving the emergency call, and they are no longer a threat to the area.

APD is actively investigating this incident and is urging students to call 512-974-2000 if they have any information.
