Ever since Universal Studios announced it was making “American Reunion,” the film had an uphill battle to fight. Since the undeniably fresh and funny “American Pie” came out 13 long years ago, the franchise has devolved from entertaining immaturity to crass scatological references that belonged in the discount DVD bin where most of the film’s sequels can be found.
In an immeasurable sea of T-shirts and backpacks, it is impossible to pay attention to all the clothing choices we’re exposed to during the hustle and bustle of class transitions on any given day. Yet, every so often, a bold fashionista finds his or her way of transforming campus into their own personal runway, prompting other, less daring dressers to perform an inevitable double take.
For a final time models presented Rory Beca’s collection at the end of their runway show Saturday night at the W Hotel.
Andy Roddick pulled up from a sharp forehand during an open practice Wednesday afternoon, a shot that failed to clear the net, and turned to the group of a hundred-something spectators who had come to watch their favorite player at the Frank Erwin Center.
“Hey guys, could you turn the flash off your cameras?” he asked politely. “It makes it hard to see.”
