Texas has one final chance to refine its game before setting out for the Big 12 Championships as it takes on Baylor in a match-play event at the University of Texas Golf Club on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

Texas has been on a roll in the second half of the season, posting top-five finishes in three out of four tournaments since the winter break, along with a dominant performance in a match-play event against Texas State.

Most recently, Texas placed fourth at the Indiana Invitational.

Baylor, a young team led primarily by freshmen and sophomores, has struggled to find its stroke all season. They are coming off a seventh-place finish at the Susie Maxwell-Berning Golf Classic, which represents their first top-10 finish since placing fourth at the Challenge at Wolfdancer in Austin in November.

Texas finished much higher than Baylor both times they faced each other in tournaments this year. Texas placed fifth at the Central District Invitational to Baylor's 14th. Baylor also finished with a 14th-place tie at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational, while Texas had a season-best third-place finish.

One major advantage Texas brings to the match, in addition to playing on its home course, is experience. Senior Ashley Rollins has been Texas' top finisher in all of its tournaments this year and was recognized as the Big 12 Women's Golfer of the Month for February.

Senior Julia Best is also a competitor to keep an eye on. She has played some of her best rounds this year at The University of Texas Golf Course, including a first-place, 2-under-par 70 performance against Texas State.
