Riding a roller coaster of a season, the Longhorns were never a sure thing to make the tournament this year. Texas finished sixth in the Big 12 conference and bowed out of the league semifinals in a loss to Missouri. But Texas' victory against Iowa State in the conference quarterfinals was just enough for it to be considered for its 14th tournament in a row.
