After failing to qualify any Longhorns for the doubles draw over the weekend at the ITA All-American Championship in Los Angeles, Texas will attempt to advance some players in the singles event beginning today.
The last time the swim team competed together, they were on the highest stage in college swimming competition — the NCAA Championship. On Friday, the atmosphere was much lighter at the annual Orange-White Meet.
Before spring break even began, Texas’ divers traveled to College Station for the NCAA Zone Diving competition, a three-day event where participants attempted to qualify for the NCAA championships, which will be held Thursday through Saturday in Columbus, Ohio.
Two weekends ago, the Longhorns placed a disappointing seventh at the Big 12 championships. Now the team is looking to get back into its usual championship form.
