The rest of the Longhorns will stay at home in preparation for the Longhorn Invitational, a one day, non-scored meet, hosted by Texas that is scheduled for Saturday at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
“Our goal was first and foremost to win the World Cup,” said Christopher Morris, finance senior and Texas Quidditch co-captain. “And to prove that we are a great team.”
The home turf advantage in Saturday’s Texas Invitational served the Longhorns well as they were able to pick up four victories along with 12 top-five finishes and nine personal-best marks.
The hometown stretch of the Longhorn’s meet schedule started off in fashion as the Longhorns took four victories from the Texas Invitational on Saturday.
For the fourth time this season, the Longhorns found themselves on top of the leaderboard after the final round after winning the Morris Williams Intercollegiate tournament this past weekend.
Highlighted by a strong performance from senior Desiree Dubreuil, who finished tied fifth at 5-under-par 211, the Longhorns women’s golf squad completed the PING/ASU Invitational in seventh place.
