Today is the birthday of César Chávez, the farm labor leader who dedicated his life to improving the wages and working conditions of agricultural workers, one of the country’s poorest and most exploited groups of laborers.
This sudden shift away from economic privilege can provide a window through which we become privy to the plight of families that survive on a salary akin to what a single UT student lives on.
Contrary to the belief that science erodes the credibility of God and his intelligent design, I would like to suggest that science paints God more beautifully and credibly because of the natural wonders we discover and because of the curious minds he has blessed us with.
There is no doubt that Austin is growing, so hopefully sooner rather than later we will all have even more alternatives for traveling throughout Austin.
