Students walking down the South Mall late Friday morning stopped and stared. But they weren’t marveling at Littlefield Fountain or the picturesque lawn dotted with students. They were focused on a clothesline strung up outside Batts Hall with white shirts and denim letters spelling “Me Too.”
Hundreds gathered Friday night for the unveiling of Jose Parla’s 4,000-square-foot mural, “Amistad America,” at Robert B. Rowling Hall. Five years in the making, the abstract mural combines elements of graffiti, calligraphy and cave painting.
Events + Entertainment Asian American Culture hosted approximately 50 students at Dance SensAsian, an event meant to combine traditional Asian dance styles with more modern styles. The event is the first official showcase of Asian interest dance groups at UT.
