Two weeks ago, The Daily Texan requested applications from the student body for a panel to question and review student government candidates. Eight students were selected from 10 applicants.
The Texan invited each candidate to fill out an extensive questionnaire and to speak with the panel. While some candidates failed to participate in one or both parts of this process, the vast majority were interviewed for these endorsements.
None of the panel members are endorsing a single ticket. Each candidate was questioned heavily about his or her own experience and ideas, and was asked to set himself or herself apart from other candidates on both tickets.
