Awakening Mustakrakish, bringing out the Hatredcopter, but sadly not rocking with Dr. Rockzo, Dethklok brought down Austin Music Hall Sunday night. The band, whose live incarnation features creator Brendon Small and legendary metal drummer Gene Hoglan, performed hits from the show "Metalocalypse" such as "Duncan Hills Coffee Jingle" and "Go Into the Water." Small and Hoglan rose above novelty to put on a solid performance. Backing the band was a video screen with animations of the Dethklok characters, much more intricate than they appear on television. Quite possibly the most ridiculous scene was the bronze statue of Murderface during "Birthday Dethday."
