My Wicked Twisted Sense of Love
Women and Their Work is known for presenting exhibitions that stretch preconceived notions on a variety of topics, even one of the most talked/written/illustrated/pondered about — love. The artists of the paper, videos, sounds and mixed media installations put their personal, and often twsited, spin on the much-mused-about emotion.

Ariel Abshire
Ariel Abshire is a breath of fresh air after hearing the many over-synthed, over-layered, generally overdone bands in Austin. Her vocals are what carry this singer-songwriter-guitarist’s soulful, indie-pop, twang-tinted songs. She is performing with Carley Wolf, Air Review, The 71’s, Peoplefood and Tiny Tin Hearts.
WHEN: Friday, 7 p.m.
WHERE: Momo’s, 618 West Sixth St.

Wine & Revolution
Austin garage rock band Wine & Revolution has a vintage quality that makes their upbeat songs that much more appealing. Appropriately, they claim The Kinks, The Smiths, Bob Dylan and many other musicians as their influences. They will be playing with A Giant Dog, Electric Tickle Machine and The Dikes of Holland.
WHEN: Friday, 10 p.m.
WHERE: Beerland, 711 ½ Red River St.
