The Longhorns will look to keep up their momentum this Monday through Tuesday at the UNF Collegiate in Jacksonville, Florida.
Texas will be one of 16 competing teams, but the field will be weaker than the one in their fifth-place finish at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate two weeks ago. The No. 31 Longhorns are the highest ranked team in the tournament.
Last year’s champion, Houston, checks in at No. 38 in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings. No other team is ranked in the top 50 in the rankings.
The Longhorns finished second in the tournament last year, 15 shots behind Houston. Cougars sophomore Megan Thothong will look to defend her individual title.
Teams will complete two rounds on Monday and finish up the tournament with 18 holes on Tuesday.
