University of Texas Athletics employees abused football ticket access, per a report from the Austin American-Statesman.
The Statesman obtained a University audit that found allegations of employees accepting gifts and selling their complimentary tickets. In addition, the audit found employees had relationships with ticket brokers.
The allegations are the result of a 16-month UT investigation that began in 2012 and ended roughly in June 2013. The audit was made official on Nov. 30. No employees were named or held responsible in the audit, per the Statesman. It’s unclear how much revenue the department lost.
In response, Athletics officials sent an email Sunday to season ticket holders explaining changes that have been made. The email claims the issues have been resolved.
