Former Longhorns quarterback Vince Young completed 40 of 44 passes, unofficially, while throwing to various running backs, wide receivers and tight ends at Texas' Pro Day on Tuesday.
He completed his first seven passes before Marquise Goodwin dropped a throw from Young, who connected on the next nine before tossing one just out of the reach of DeSean Hales. Jeremy Hills ran a wheel route and got two hands on a throw from Young but couldn't haul it in.
"Run through, don't worry about the ball," Young told Hills after the drop.
The final incompletion Young threw was on a deep fade to former Texas offensive tackle/tight end Luke Poehlmann, who was a couple yards behind Young's toss.
Young, who went 31-19 as a starting quarterback in six NFL seasons, was released by the Buffalo Bills last August and is currently enrolled at Texas. He's scheduled to graduate in May.
