Golfer and former Longhorn Jordan Spieth will not travel to Rio de Janeiro for the 2016 Olympics. International Golf Federation president Peter Dawson made the announcement Monday at the British Open.

Golf is returning to the Olympics after 112 years. But it will not feature the world’s top four golfers in Jason Day, Dustin Johnson, Spieth and Rory McIlroy. Day, Johnson and McIlroy all withdrew after concerns over the Zika virus. It's unclear why Spieth withdrew at this time.

Spieth is currently preparing for this week’s British Open and has not yet commented on his decision.
