The University shuts down at 2 p.m. today following a forecast of "inclement weather." The decision was made by President Larry Faulkner and Vice President for Campus Services Pat Clubb, said University spokesman Don Hale.

According to weather.com, the temperature is forecasted to be 28 degrees with a 40 percent chance of precipitation.

All University buildings will be locked at 2 p.m., and classes are scheduled to resume at 10 a.m. tomorrow.

University shuttles will stop running at 7 p.m. tonight.

Classes and exams scheduled for this afternoon will be rescheduled to Monday using the same time and location. Classes cancelled tomorrow morning will be made up Tuesday at the same time and location.

The Jester second floor and Kinsolving dining halls will remain open for dinner tonight and re-open tomorrow at 9 a.m., according to Douglas Garrard, Associate Director of the Division of Housing and Food Service.

The Gregory Gym and Aquatic Center will remain open until 6 p.m. this evening.
