State celebrity and national award-winner Uno the Beagle took a bathroom break on the Capitol's front lawn after a Wednesday morning meeting with Gov. Rick Perry.

Uno made history as the first beagle to win Best in Show at the 2008 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. He is the second dog to win from Texas. When not appearing on PBS' "Charlie Rose" or throwing pitches at Major League Baseball games, Uno spends his time on a 200-acre working ranch in Austin with his owner, Caroline Dowell.

His handler, David Frei of the Westminster Kennel Club, said the dog has racked up about 30,000 miles traveling coast-to-coast since his retirement earlier this year.
